John Hamm

John Hamm has played instrumental roles for over 40 years in graphic communications and technology endeavors. He has acquired extensive industry knowledge, applied experience, and extensive market exposure, uniquely qualifying him in the graphic arts industry. He has lectured extensively around the world on topical graphic communication subjects.

Following 9-years in sales and management positions at Xerox, Hamm pursued a successful, 20-year career in commercial printing as President and COO of Balmar Printing & Graphics, Inc., a profit-leading firm in the DC Metro Area. In 1999, Hamm rejoined Xerox to lead their World-wide marketing efforts to bring relevant production products to the commercial print and pre-media markets, while creating market demand for a new breed of innovative printing technology and services. In 2006, Hamm incorporated John M Hamm & Associates, LLC, creating a leading consulting resource for Graphic Communications.

John has served as a Director on the Boards of PIA, Printing Industries of America; GATF, the Graphic Arts Technical Foundation; and NPES, The Association for Suppliers of Printing, Publishing and Converting Technologies. John is also a 2006 inductee of the Ben Franklin Honorary Society of PIA. Hamm has worked with CEO's, managers, and sales staff in numerous graphic arts and enterprise companies toward their achievement of market-making business results and strategic business improvement.

John has also done extensive research for PRIMIR, Print Industries Market Information and Research Organization which culminated in the publishing of a major market research document forecasting the US Digital Printing Marketplace.
